Troubleshooting Tips

Quick fixes for the most common issues. Most problems are solved in a few minutes.

🔑

Login Failed

In most cases a login failure is caused by your internet provider's security filter blocking the service, not by your account. Your username and password are usually fine.

Quick fix for Fire TV, Firestick and Android TV: open the Downloader app and enter https://dns.applinks.dev (or Downloader code 5054053). Install the app, allow the VPN connection request, turn the service on, then open your IPTV app again.

If that does not fix it, or you are on another device, turn off your provider's security setting using the steps below, then try again.

  • Double-check the username and password exactly as shown in My Account (they are case sensitive).
  • Make sure your plan has not expired. You can see the next due date in My Account.
  • Still failing? Open a ticket from My Account, Support. The ticket page tests your login from our servers right away.

Internet Provider Security Settings

Many providers turn on a security filter by default that can block streaming services. Find your provider below and turn it off, then restart your device and try again. Tap a provider to open its steps.

SpectrumTurn off Security Shield▾

Security Shield is on by default with Spectrum's Advanced Home WiFi. Turn it off in the My Spectrum app:

  1. Open the My Spectrum app.
  2. Go to the Services & Equipment tab.
  3. Select Security Shield.
  4. Turn the Security Shield switch Off and confirm.
VerizonTurn off Home Network Protection▾
  1. Log in to your My Verizon account (app or website).
  2. Go to your internet service settings.
  3. Find Home Network Protection (it may be called Security Enhancement).
  4. Turn it Off.
On a Fire TV or Android device, the free DNS app also works on Verizon: in Downloader, enter code 5054053, install it, allow the VPN request and turn it on.
XfinityTurn off Advanced Security▾
  1. Open the Xfinity app (or log in at xfinity.com).
  2. Go to the Security tab.
  3. Select Advanced Security.
  4. Choose Turn Off.
AT&TCancel ActiveArmor▾
  1. Open the AT&T Smart Home Manager app.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Your Internet Service (do not tap ActiveArmor on this screen).
  4. Tap AT&T ActiveArmor.
  5. Tap Cancel Service.
T-MobileHome Internet: use the free DNS app▾

T-Mobile Home Internet has no setting to turn off, so use the free DNS app on your streaming device:

  1. On your Fire TV or Android device, open Downloader.
  2. Enter https://dns.applinks.dev (or code 5054053) and install the app.
  3. Open it, allow the VPN connection request, and turn it On.
  4. Open your IPTV app again.

Using a VPN on the streaming device also gets around provider filters, if you already have one.

Buffering or Freezing

Try these in order. Most buffering clears up after the first two or three.

  1. Restart the device and your modem/router. Unplug both for 30 seconds, then plug them back in.
  2. Turn off your provider's security filter (see the provider steps above) or use the free DNS app. These filters slow streams down as well as blocking logins.
  3. Clear the app's cache. In IPTV Smarters: Settings, then General Settings, then Clear Cache. On Fire TV: Settings, Applications, Manage Installed Applications, your app, Clear Cache.
  4. Use a wired connection or 5 GHz WiFi and keep the device close to the router. Streaming in HD needs a steady connection.
  5. Check other devices at home. Large downloads or other streams on the same internet can cause buffering.
Still buffering? Open a ticket from My Account, Support. The ticket page runs a stream test on your internet and through our servers, so we can see exactly where the buffering comes from.

App and Server Address

  • Use the server address from the Installation Instructions.
  • If your app's server address starts with http:// and ends in :80, change it to https:// and :443.
  • No channels, movies or shows in the app? Log out of the app, log back in, and refresh the playlist (in IPTV Smarters: Settings, then Refresh or Update playlist).
  • You can use up to 4 connections at once. A fifth device will not play until one of the others stops.
